I will give a talk in the Fiber-Optic Sensing Applications in Seismology session entitled Distributed Acoustic Sensing for Environmental and Weather Monitoring Using Existing Fiber-Optic Infrastructure.
Recent updates — fellowships, deployments, papers, and talks.
I will give a talk in the Fiber-Optic Sensing Applications in Seismology session entitled Distributed Acoustic Sensing for Environmental and Weather Monitoring Using Existing Fiber-Optic Infrastructure.
I've been selected as a LIGO Fellow. As part of the fellowship I have deployed a distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) array at LIGO Hanford Observatory, using telecommunication fibre as a dense seismic instrument across the site.
The campaign spans several threads:
More detail, and the resulting analysis, will follow as the work develops.
I will give a talk in Site Characterization session entitled Environmental Noise Monitoring with Distributed Acoustic Sensing: Insights from the WAVE Seismic Network.
I will give a talk in Instrument Science session entitled Distributed Acoustic Sensing for Environmental Monitoring, and Newtonian Noise Mitigation.
